2025 CALL FOR ARTISTS

Art in the Open is inviting local, regional and national artists to submit their artistic proposals for the annual summer festival. The festival will take place over multiple days in Summer 2025. We are looking for unique submissions that will transform downtown Charlottetown into a series of indoor and outdoor magical, memorable, creative spaces that will be shared by all members of the community. We are especially interested in art projects that invite the attendees of the festival to engage with and participate in the art in some capacity.

In 2025, the festival expands to multiple days, inviting audiences to explore art in new and meaningful ways. This year’s theme is Care, reflecting a renewed focus on connection and community after a strategic reset. We invite artists to reflect on the meaning of Care and how it shapes our lives and spaces.

Festival locations will include Charlottetown’s green spaces as well as indoor locations in the downtown core.

Submissions should be new, innovative, and represent excellence in your field of art. Deadline for submission is May 18th, 2025 at midnight Atlantic time.
