The Art of Water Security

Join artist Kirstie McCallum and poet and post-doctoral research fellow with Environment and Climate Change Canada (University of Victoria) Maleea Acker in a creative placemaking workshop. Through games, discussions, drawings, and the creative use of maps we will explore our personal ties to local watersheds. 

We will open with a water ceremony by Elder Elder Methilda Knockwood-Snache. There will be guest presentations by Charlotte Large, Project Manager of the PEI Watershed Alliance and Krystal Pyke, ClimateSense Project Manager at the UPEI School of Climate Change and Adaptation.

Location:

The event will close with a picnic in nearby Victoria Park, next to a rain-catching sculpture by artist Kirstie McCallum.
