Access Notes

Art in the Open is taking steps to promote solidarity, equity, and access, and we also recognize that these measures cannot undo systemic oppression. We are committed to creating spaces that are free of disrespectful, violent, or oppressive behaviours, and all team members, artists, volunteers, sponsors, and members of the public at Art in the Open must play an active role in creating an environment that prioritizes collective care.

If you will be attending Art in the Open with a support person, wheelchair, service animal, or assistance device, feel free to contact us with any questions about navigating the no-contact festival.

The Guild

There is an elevator at the main entrance that provides access to the art gallery washrooms which are located down a short flight of stairs.

Confed Centre Plaza

While there is a concrete ramp on the Queen St. side of the plaza, it is steep and bordered by a waterfall. The elevator just to the right of the box office on Queen St. will be open during the festival and will allow visitors to access the plaza.
